Centennial Park
Information
Fellow Lions:
The Softball
schedule will be for three nights again this year, Tuesday through Thursday.
The Grafton State Bank, 101 Falls Rd., has graciously agreed to work
with us on
supplying change for
each evening and doing the counting of the receipts each day. If it is
your day to work, you will have to go to the Grafton State Bank drive-up
window to pick up
the change bag and open the stand by 5:45 P.M. They will have a checklist of
the scheduled workers. After you sign for the money, you will be given a bag
with the night’s
drawer cash and the keys to get into the stand. There will also be a key in
the bag for their night deposit. At the end of the night, deposit your
currency receipts
in the night deposit
box, also leave change in the cash drawer. We will maintain the
inventory. If you happen to notice a shortage of a particular item
during your work
night, please call 377-1384 or 377-4125 to make us aware of the
shortage.
The work rules are
simple:
1. Show up on the
night assigned or find someone else on the list to take your spot. If you
are unable to make a change, please call 377-1384 for assistance.
2. You will be
called prior to your scheduled night as a reminder. If you have never worked
before someone will meet you at the stand with instructions.
3. Restock the
cooler shelves at the end of the evening.
4. If you have your
children helping you at the stand, do not let any underage children sell
beer.
This is a nice easy
fund-raiser for the Lion’s Club that also gets us some exposure in the
community. By not showing up or finding an alternate, you only cheat your
fellow Lion’s
and the people who
are benefited by all our projects. Please do your part. As most of you know,
the park is on 17
th
Avenue, 2 blocks south of highway 60.
Please try to wear
some Lion wear like your shirt or hat.
Thank you.
